Jesus died on the cross for our sins. God made us perfect in his image. In his image we are perfectly imperfect. You see, God gave us the desire to make our own choices. We were given free will. The ability to find our faith and let Jesus into our hearts. Through mistakes and being the sinner that we are, it’s how we find our faith. In order for us to be closer to God we must learn from the errors of our ways. In the resurrection Jesus forgave the thief who was next to him. He forgave Judas for giving up Jesus for thirty silver coins. Jesus died for our sins so we could learn from our mistakes, we still have a chance to rectify ourselves. So, when we make a mistake or accidently break one of God’s commandments go to confession! That’s why we have confession to give ourselves another chance to be closer to God, Our Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Remember our God is a very merciful God.
Matthew 28:19-20 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
Psalms 116:5-7 “Gracious is the Lord and righteous; yes, our God is merciful. The Lord protects the simple; I was helpless, but he saved me. Return, my soul, to your rest; the Lord has been very good to you.”
