"The virtue of temperance disposes us to avoid every kind of excess: the abuse of food, alcohol, tobacco, or medicine. Those incur grave guilt who, by drunkenness or a love of speed, endanger their own and others safety on the road, at sea, or in the air." (CCC 2290)
I like to say, "too much of one thing is bad for you". For instance, too much sugar could transition to diabetes. It's important to voluntarily self-restraint yourself. In general, too much of anything is not good for anybody. As well as eating excessive amount of fiber like apple sauce- This will present a different problem. A small portion diet may be a good fit. Unfortunately, it takes time to develop a small stomach, but it is possible. My favorite thing to do is to be active. I like to stay busy with more important things like spending time with my child or working in the garden. Life is so much simpler if we focus on other things, more productive things. We need to come back to healthy living.
Awesome!
