  • Ardent longing for God

“A psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, you are my God— it is you I seek! For you my body yearns; for you my soul thirsts, In a land parched, lifeless, and without water. I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory. For your love is better than life; my lips shall ever praise you! I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands, calling on your name. My soul shall be sated as with choice food, with joyous lips my mouth shall praise you! I think of you upon my bed, I remember you through the watches of the night You indeed are my savior, and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy. My soul clings fast to you; your right hand upholds me. But those who seek my life will come to ruin; they shall go down to the depths of the netherworld! Those who would hand over my life to the sword shall become the prey of jackals! But the king shall rejoice in God; all who swear by the Lord shall exult, but the mouths of liars will be shut!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63‬:‭1‬-‭12‬ ‭NABRE‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/463/psa.63.1-12.NABRE

  • Advice to the Community

“Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for: “God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble.” So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NABRE‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/463/1pe.5.5-6.

  • Security Under God's Protection

“You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty, Say to the Lord, “My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.” He will rescue you from the fowler’s snare, from the destroying plague, He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come. You need simply watch; the punishment of the wicked you will see. Because you have the Lord for your refuge and have made the Most High your stronghold, No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent. For he commands his angels with regard to you, to guard you wherever you go. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You can tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬-‭13‬ ‭NABRE‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/463/psa.91.1-13.NABRE To have true faith is very difficult but absolutely attainable. Believe with all your heart that goodness is the conqueror of evil and let God work through you. See how much more peaceful this world could be.

  • I know that you live where Satan's throne is.

To Pergamum. 12 "To the angel of the church in Pergamum, write this: "The one with the sharp two edged sword says this: 13 "I know that you live where Satan's throne is, and yet you hold fast to my name and have not denied your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was martyred among you, where Satan lives. Revelation 2:12-13 Reflection: Life is challenging enough with temptation. For example, the two worst temptations are gossip and money. Money could blind us and cause us to lose track of what's really important, like family and friends. Money does not buy friendship. Another example is gossip; telling someone else's secret could have a bad ripple effect, especially on trust. No matter how much I would like to take it back, I could never truly fix the damage once it's done. We should always love one another and not hurt each other. It's important to stay vigilant and not get disoriented. It's when we get disoriented that Satan starts intervening. Have faith in God, and God will not leave us.

  • Peaceful Day

Today I wake up rejuvenated ready to start my day. God blessed me with a cozy home, food, water, work and most importantly my family. For me it’s the simple things in life that makes me happy. My backyard homestead gives me comfort every day when I dig my fingers into the dirt. Or when I feed my quails as they make soothing chirping sounds. My dog, happy as can be to go to work with me, just to sleep the whole morning while I work. It’s the simple things that makes me happy. Don’t worry what others think! Do what makes you happy, society is just a phase, work depends on effort, healthy living is worth the struggle, worship and the word is your foundation.

  • The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Matthew 18:21-35

21 Then Peter approaching asked him, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?" 22 Jesus answered, "I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times. 23 That is why the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who decided to settle accounts with his servants. 24 When he began the accounting, a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount. 25 Since he had no way of paying it back, his master ordered him to be sold, along with his wife, his children, and all his property, in payment of the debt. 26 At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.' 27 Moved with compassion the master of that servant let him go and forgave him the loan. 28 When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding, 'Pay back what you owe.' 29 Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.' 30 But he refused. Instead, he had him put in prison until he paid back the debt. 31 Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master and reported the whole affair. 32 His master summoned him and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire dept because you begged me to. 33 Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?' 34 Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt. 35 So will my heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart."

  • Why is it so hard to follow the Ten Commandments?

During 1 Kings through 2 Kings the people had a hard time following the first commandment: “You shall have no other God before me.” They would make alters, worship other Gods, worship a golden calf, make offerings, and destroy Gods temple. The idea of worshipping a golden calf is so absurd.   The story goes on, breaking the other commandments: “You shall make no idols, You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, Keep the Sabbath day holy, Honor your father and your mother, You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, You shall not covet.” These commandments are meant to be kept. Even the King could not follow the ten commandments, what could we expect from anyone else. The people were lead in sin. So extreme, no one knew about God.   Think about Adam and Eve. Adam was very lonely he wanted a companion and God made him Eve. If you think about it, we’re all looking for someone to love us. Some of us, goes through drastic measures to fit in, especially our young people. Maybe follow a trend like leggings, water bottles, or the newest cell phone. Not all trends are good. People may want to worship a golden calf for the sake of fitting in. In reality a sense of belonging could come from anywhere!   Life is too short to worry about clicks. We have one friend who will love us unconditionally even though we don’t follow a trend. God is like a best friend, always close to your heart. The love so powerful it will light up your day. He will never abandon you or stop loving you. As long as we follow Gods rules.   God is love, it’s important to start early, give your child lots of love, teach them about God. The more love they receive the stronger they will be. Let them feel the presence of God almighty. The feeling of never being alone is truly peace of mind. So, they won’t need to break any commandments because they will always have their best friend in mind, and it’s God!

  • Dependence on God, Matthew 7:25-34

25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? 27 Can any of you worring add a single moment to your life-span? 28 Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. 29 But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one to them. 30 If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' 32 All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. 34 Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil. Created with Grok
