- Test of faith
Life presents many challenges, yet the test of faith is even more challenging. Our actions during a crisis reveal much about our character and the depth of our faith. Such moments can indicate whether we lack faith and truly trust in God. Jesus suffered on the cross but his suffering was a sign of complete trust in God, despite how terrifying it may have been. True faith does not come when we need it the most it comes when we have complete trust. The most detrimental action we could take is to lose faith. In times of crisis, I place my trust in God. We often believe we know what we want, but this may not always be accurate. Thankfully, God knows what is truly best for us, and it far exceeds our imagination, Therefore, remain steadfast and work on your faith like as if your married to God. He should be the priority presence in your life.
- THE GIFT AND CALL OF GOD IN BAPTISM
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith, to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time. In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Although you have not seen him you love him; even though you do not see him now yet believe in him, you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, as you attain the goal of [your] faith, the salvation of your souls. Concerning this salvation, prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and investigated it, investigating the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them indicated when it testified in advance to the sufferings destined for Christ and the glories to follow them. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you with regard to the things that have now been announced to you by those who preached the good news to you [through] the holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels longed to look. Obedience. Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, live soberly, and set your hopes completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Like obedient children, do not act in compliance with the desires of your former ignorance but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, for it is written, “Be holy because I [am] holy.” Reverence. Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one’s works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning, realizing that you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb. He was known before the foundation of the world but revealed in the final time for you, who through him believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Mutual Love. Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart. You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and abiding word of God, for: “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the field; the grass withers, and the flower wilts; but the word of the Lord remains forever.” This is the word that has been proclaimed to you.” 1 Peter 1:3-25 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/1pe.1.3-25.NABRE
- Perseverance in Trial
“Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it. But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways. The brother in lowly circumstances should take pride in his high standing, and the rich one in his lowliness, for he will pass away “like the flower of the field.” For the sun comes up with its scorching heat and dries up the grass, its flower droops, and the beauty of its appearance vanishes. So will the rich person fade away in the midst of his pursuits. James 1:2-11 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/jas.1.2-11.NABRE
- III Exhortations And Warnings
Doers of the word. “Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” James 1:19-27 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/jas.1.19-27.NABRE
- Miracle
Although you may not witness or hear about miracles, it does not mean they do not occur. Miracles happen daily in the most unexpected ways, often when we are at our wit's end. Love should conquer all, particularly the love that emanates from the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. When we seek assistance, we often envision how it will manifest, yet with strong faith, it rarely unfolds as anticipated. We believe we know what we want based on our limited understanding, but we must remember that God possesses greater knowledge than we do. God can reveal something better than we could imagine. This is why maintaining love and trust in God is crucial, as it should be when we love each other the way Jesus showed his love to the world.
- Stay Vigilant
Maintaining vigilance and identifying what truly matters is very important. Personally, I find that reciting the rosary rejuvenates me, and it truly feels refreshing, ready to move on with my day. Vigilance becomes particularly difficult when confronted with circumstances beyond our control, such as a loved one falling ill or losing their job. Life unfolds in ways we cannot dictate, and we lack control over future events. This is why it is crucial to remember God is in charge, not us. Although we may desire to steer our own course, sometimes it is wiser to entrust the journey to God. Trust in God is akin to a delicate balance, like a very thin wall, requiring us to decide on which side we will stand. During the resurrection, God sent an angel to Jesus, and only a few remained by his side until the end. These individuals were the true believers in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
- Struggling to find faith
As we go through our own struggles, we never truly know what will happen next, nor have any control over the outcome. But we’re never truly alone; God is there for those who believe in Him. God is there especially for those who look for Him. I discovered that faith is a mystery worth finding. I realized that we are not truly alone, even though we cannot see or feel God's presence. No one really knows God's plan or what the future may bring, but whether it’s good or bad, He is there! We may not understand the why and may never will. God is there; we just need to open our eyes. The mystery of faith is a long journey; it may be difficult to understand completely. The true meaning of faith may take a lifetime to comprehend, but it’s worth finding out. To know that there is something bigger beyond our understanding, something bigger than us. Being a mystery isn’t necessarily a bad thing; it may just be something so beautiful just out of our reach. We can’t even imagine what it looks like. If we truly believe in God, then trust in Him and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Let God take our struggles and understand that there is a bigger plan beyond our imagination.
- Everyday is a struggle
There will be struggles till our dying days. They are part of a divine plan to prepare us for something bigger. Each of us are created differently, and it is essential to support one another. God never meant for us to face struggles alone. God gave us gifts to help one another. Remember it's not what you do with a lot, but what you do with a little. Let God work through you, use your gifts for good. If we help one another our problems will never feel like a burden. Be like Jesus, he walked around helping others. He is showing us how to treat one another. If we give up on humanity does anything else really matter? One example: farmers are mostly God-loving people. You never see homeless people out in the country. When they struggle, they all struggle together; they become closer than ever. That could be said for any situation and many different kinds of scenarios. When someone is in trouble, the whole community gets involved. We need to focus on what’s important. Only with God can unity overcome the biggest obstacles. Only together can we conquer evil. Go to church and give it time. As long as Jesus is included you will find a community. In God's love ✝️
- Paul’s Plans; Need for Prayers.
“That is why I have so often been prevented from coming to you. But now, since I no longer have any opportunity in these regions and since I have desired to come to you for many years, I hope to see you in passing as I go to Spain and to be sent on my way there by you, after I have enjoyed being with you for a time. Now, however, I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the holy ones. For Macedonia and Achaia have decided to make some contribution for the poor among the holy ones in Jerusalem; they decided to do it, and in fact they are indebted to them, for if the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual blessings, they ought also to serve them in material blessings. So when I have completed this and safely handed over this contribution to them, I shall set out by way of you to Spain; and I know that in coming to you I shall come in the fullness of Christ’s blessing. I urge you, [brothers,] by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in the struggle by your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the disobedient in Judea, and that my ministry for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the holy ones, so that I may come to you with joy by the will of God and be refreshed together with you. The God of peace be with all of you. Amen.” Romans 15:22-33 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/rom.15.22-33.NABRE
- Eucharist-hood
The capacity to have faith demonstrates strong faith in unity. As faith empowers us, we could overcome obstacles as a community. It is important to remember that challenges are meant to be a struggle, because God is always preparing us for a greater plan. If we do not help each other than evil wins. The love from God truly conquers all.
- Be sober and vigilant
“Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To him be dominion forever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:8-11 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/1pe.5.8-11.NABRE Remain vigilant and do not get disoriented. We live in a world where good and evil coexist. The devil is always seeking opportunities to deceive us, waiting for us to get disoriented so it can trick us. Numerous consequences may arise if we allow such opportunities. Have faith, and don’t get distracted. If we get distracted, we’re not allowing God to do His work through us. Always stay vigilant for our God Almighty.
- Security Under God’s Protection
“You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty, Say to the Lord, “My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.” He will rescue you from the fowler’s snare, from the destroying plague, He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come. You need simply watch; the punishment of the wicked you will see. Because you have the Lord for your refuge and have made the Most High your stronghold, No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent. For he commands his angels with regard to you, to guard you wherever you go. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You can tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon. Because he clings to me I will deliver him; because he knows my name I will set him on high. He will call upon me and I will answer; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him and give him honor. With length of days I will satisfy him, and fill him with my saving power.” Psalms 91:1-16 NABRE https://bible.com/bible/463/psa.91.1-16.NABRE
